St. Christopher’s by-the-Sea welcomes all who seek spiritual growth, no matter where they may be in their journey toward God.

The Holy Spirit moves sometimes in dynamic, sometimes in quiet and  mysterious ways, opening doors along our path throughout life. While some Christians experience conversion such as the one described by the Apostle Paul on the road to Damascus,  many do not. For many people, faith emerges slowly, in small ways as they experience the fellowship of a loving faith community and see the impact of that faith in their own life and in the lives of others.

We welcome you to this faith community and this website. You will find here expression of the vibrancy of our faith in mission and ministry.

Welcome

Habitat Build Day, June 27th
St Christopher’s sponsored a Habitat Build Day. The work was amazing: hot and constructive. We worked on a home in North Miami. Twenty two showed up. The house was without walls and needed additional roofing materials. By the end of the day the rough carpentry was completed, walls were in place and roofing was readied for shingles. Thanks to all who helped. Click here for photo album.
Construction Begins for the Preschool Renovation
Renovation of the Preschool Building is underway. The General Contractor began work on Monday, June 8th. Money for the renovation comes from the Growth and Development funds paid by school parents. This is a long overdue face lift for our oldest building on campus. New furniture and cabinets are ordered and we look forward to a pristine new look this fall when school begins.
The old furniture was given to Holy Comforter Church in Miami. Holy Comforter depends on the school there for the bulk of their income. A special note of appreciation was extended to us by them through Deacon Miguel who is helping Father Raphael to rebuild the church.

Church Member Outing on the Dorothy Ann
Sunday June 7th we held our annual end of year “picnic” for our parish family. We were fortunate to have the use of John and Selene Devaney’s 127’ yacht, “Dorothy Ann” for an afternoon of water play followed by a supper of hamburgers and hotdogs.
If you Want to see the photos from the day CLICK HERE.
Thanks to Dottie Devaney Goldman, chairman of hospitality for yet another successful event!
